TOTO Architect Talk is a FREE architectural talkshow for architects, architecture students, design students and all those (18 years old and older) who are interested in this field.
- Participants have to register for the talk show at the link HERE. After finishing the registration, participants will receive a response email with an event’s enter code from the organization committee.
- On the day of the talk show (December 17, 2022), please provide your e-ticket or email from the organizer committee at the event check-in area.
Notice: Each ticket is for one guest only.
The talk show will be presented by the speakers in English and will be translated into Vietnamese simultaneously.
The competition is for:
- All citizens living in Vietnam, age from 18-35, include all individuals, units, groups with expertise in the field of architecture, landscape architecture, ... or those who have passion for architectural design.
- University students majoring in architectural, interior architecture, construction, landscape architecture, or similar fields of study at a college or university or accredited training center, etc

- Candidates are to submit two A1 panels, which includes
+ Analyze and explain about the location chosen as a pavilion.
+ The story behind and the “NEW” factor embodied in the design.
+ Landscape layout.
+ Elevations.
+ Section perspective.

+ Maximum file size is 15MB, resolution 300 dpi.
+ In case the file size is over 15MB, please attach the uploaded submissions link (sharing open) so the organization committee can download and confirm.
+ Mandatory rendering method is computer (hand drawing can be scanned in presentation).
The Jury panel will evaluate the proposals submitted based on the objectives outlined in the topic. Entries will be judged if they meet all the design requirements and the criteria listed below:
- Evoking design, a comprehensive design concept.
- Design showing the interaction between Pavillion, people and the surrounding environment
- Have an unique and creative strategy for the Pavilion material application.
- Ensuring efficient functions, reasonable layout and perspective.
- Completing, eye-catching and attractive presentation.
No, there is no specification or restriction for using materials. Participants can explore any new or old materials as per their design and conceptual requirements.
Yes, this is a contest about ideas, so there are no restrictions on the way materials can be used. Participants can use all techniques if possible, but the design of the pavilion and the conceptual thoughts behind any idea should be responsive to the context and the brief of the topic.
No, there is no specification that the pavilion should be either fully open or enclosed. It is up to the participants' design, conceptual thought, and spatial experience they wish to evoke.
After 1-3 working days from the date of submission, the organization committee will collect submissions and send confirmation emails to candidates.
Candidates shall provide full personal information in the contest registration form when submitting so that the organization board can contact support promptly.
The entries must follow all regulations of the competition, which include:
- Words and images must be culturally appropriate. Do not use language, images containing negative content, violence or spreading political ideology.
- Entries must be the unique creation of individuals or organizations participating in the contest, all individuals/groups participating in the contest must be responsible for copyright and intellectual property rights in accordance with the provisions of the Law.
- Entries must be the only, and have never been submitted to any previous competitions.
